Alien shifter is not my normal preferred genre, but I wanted to give something new to me a shot. This book surprised me, in that it held me, kept me reading and engaged through the entire book. I want to know what happens after, what the next book holds, which is, I think, the point of any book.
I do think that the author is a bit abrupt about some things that could have been made much deeper. Maybe that's just my inner reader demanding more though, not wanting to get to the end.
There are many questions that I believe are unanswered, and I hope that the books to come will give me those answers.
There are many things I could say about Kai, Jemma, and all the other characters, but I hate spoilers in reviews!
