Book 1
I found the first book (Broomstick) a little difficult to get into (a bit like Cadence not believing she is a witch, and trying to deny the witchcraft practices), but once I got past the first fee chapters I begrudged every moment when I wasn't reading this series - sleep and my day job intervened in preventing my being able to read all three books without a break. I had to read the second and third books immediately after finishing the first, just to find out what was going to happen, who really was/were the villain(s), and what could be done about them, and who were actual witches with power. There wasn't a cliffhanger per se at the end of Broomstick or the second book Windstorm, I was just really curious as to how the rest of her story would unfold. I thoroughly enjoyed this series. A warning - this book details ceremonies performed by witches covens. I read an ARC of The Hawthorne University Witch series.
