This entertaining story is told with hip language and puts Medusa and Arachne into the modern era. Medusa is trying to help her friend, while at the same time hoping to prevent her from destroying the world with a magical scepter. Medusa's boyfriend is along to enjoy the trip with her, and I find it fascinating that we never learn his name even though he is mentioned numerous times. There is adventure, suspense and even humour in this story. It is very original and unpredictable.
