From the opening pages this is a gripping read that just doesn't let up. Wilkens cleverly builds the tension throughout the story leading to a bite-your-nails climax. The book is quite dark at times, but excellently written and not too graphic.
It alternates between the POV of the abductee, the detective and the killer itself and the author did a great job of giving each of them their own voice. I was on the edge of my seat towards the end and anyone who enjoys thrillers will appreciate the twists the author incorporated into the story.
