Welcome to Lytonia, the dystopian fantasy city created by Destiny Hawkins for this series. Book #1 – and my first from the author - and I am hooked. As often happens with a new author, I didn’t know what to expect. The world building is good, the book is an easy read, with well-constructed characters and an engaging storyline. Basically, you either prove yourself useful to the community through your powers, or you are made a slave. It’s tragic, heart-breaking and you cannot not sympathize with the main characters. The book ends on a cliff-hanger, and I can’t wait to start book 2.
